    The Opportunity

    We are seeking an outstanding Director of Housing Operations to lead Unity’s housing and maintenance services. This is a pivotal, high impact role that shapes the experience of thousands of residents and ensures that our homes, services, and neighbourhoods support people to thrive.
    As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will work closely with the Board, the Operations Committee, tenants, and staff teams to drive service excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion Unity’s values across the association and wider sector.

    What You Will Lead

    • Delivery of high performing housing management and maintenance services
    • Compliance with regulatory standards
    • Strategic performance improvement, including KPI reporting to Board
    • Service transformation focused on customer experience and equity
    • Leadership of multidisciplinary operational teams
    • Cross sector partnership working across Leeds and West Yorkshire
    • Embedding Unity’s social purpose in every aspect of service delivery

    What We’re Looking For

    The ideal candidate is someone with senior level experience in a small organisation, who is flexible, adaptable, and willing to be hands on:
    • A strong, values driven leader with a good track record in housing operations
    • Skilled in shaping and motivating teams, with the confidence to challenge and improve
    • Committed to tackling inequalities and understanding the lived experience of BME communities
    • Experienced in repairs, maintenance, compliance, and customer focused service delivery
    • Effective at using data, insight, and performance systems to drive quality
    • Able to work collaboratively with tenants, colleagues, partners, and Board members
    • Strategic, forward thinking, and ready to contribute to Unity’s next stage of development
