Tenant Maintenance Panel
12 Nov 2008 - If you're one of our tenants and you care about the repairs & maintenance service, join our panel.
Unity's new Maintenance Manager, David Caron, is really keen to get tenants involved in improving the service.
"I'm really excited about how our Tenant Maintenance Panel is coming together," he states. "It looks like we're going to have three groups - one that's interested in energy efficiency and the environment, one that will do practical things like get involved with the contractors, and one to review policy."
Keen to make Unity's homes more energy efficient, he's working on an insulation programme for properties built in the 80's & 90's. He's arranged for one Tenant Maintenance Panel member to visit some potential new contractors with him - just one of many ways that you could get involved.
We're keen to get a good mix of tenants in the panel, and are especially keen to have more members from the Asian community or from our older, rehabbed houses.
The panel's completely flexible - if you can't get to a lot of meetings because you're busy, you can take part via phone calls, email or we'll even visit you at home.
If you want to make a difference, there's more information about the panel on our Information for tenants page, or get in touch with our Resident Involvement Officer:
