Census 2007

21 Jun 2007 - Unity is carrying out its first census in 2007.

Census noun: a count for official purposes, especially one to count the number of people living in a country and to obtain information about them.

Unity's carrying out its first tenant census in 2007. We want to know more about the people who live in our homes ? things like how many people are in the family, how old they are, or if there are any language or disability issues.

We're not being nosy ? we want this information so that we can plan ahead. For instance, if we're looking at putting on activities for children, we'll know how many there are on each estate and how old they are. Or if someone's disabled, we'll know we have to take extra care if their heating breaks down in Winter.

All information will be kept confidential, as required by the Data Protection Act.
